Wobscale’s core network infrastructure was replaced with “new” (bought off of eBay) hardware at the new data center. Traffic for hosts currently at the Westin Building is now transiting a layer-2 VPN between our old rack and our new rack as of 2026-05-30.
If you are having network-related issues that started 2026-05-30, please contact admin@wobscale.website so we can troubleshoot.
During the move there may be brief maintenance windows in which latency to hosts at the Westin Building is abnormally high, but we will try to avoid this.
Starting soon(tm) we will be reaching out to customers to decide when to move their servers (expect approximately 3 hours of downtime), or end their colocation with us (either collecting the server in-person in Seattle, or donating it to the Wobscale Old Server Part Bonepile).
